PDRRMC to the Rescue

 Due to monsoon rains that flooded low-lying areas, Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr., chairman of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), deploys four rescue teams composed of the Water Search and Rescue, Provincial Health Emergency and Response Team, Philippine Navy and the Philippine Army to conduct forced evacuation of residents from Brgy. Bunlalacao in Mangatarem last August 21.  Earlier, the teams also conducted pre-emptive evacuation to other flooded areas in Pangasinan.  Based on the August 22 report of the PDRRMC, a total of 1,386 families composed of 6,844 individuals were evacuated to the 27 evacuation centers.
