Following the successful hosting of Palarong Pambansa 2012, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) forged partnership with the province of Pangasinan to host the “Batang Pinoy Northern Luzon Qualifying Leg” thru the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement led by Phil. Sports Commisioner Jose Luis Gomez (seated, 2nd from left) and Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. (seated, center) last July 12 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) in Lingayen.  The qualifying leg will involve athletes from Regions 1, 2, 3 and Cordillera Autonomous Region from October 24-27 at the NRSCC.  Other signatories include (seated, from left) Exec. Asst. III and Provincial Sports Director Modesto Operania, Provincial Administrator Rafael F. Baraan and Atty. Jay Alano, head of the national events and competition office under the PSC.  Assisting in the MOA signing are Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Atty. Verna Nava-Perez (standing, center) and other provincial employees.
