Earlier, Gov. Espino has expressed his deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Soriano“ who served the province for 14 years.

“I condole with the bereaved family of the late Dr. Jackson Soriano, a very close friend and reliable partner in our reformed health care program. His untimely demise due to lung cancer is a great loss to us especially in our advocacy of bringing quality health care and upgraded hospital services within the reach of our less privileged provincemates. We in the officialdom of the provincial government pray for the eternal repose of his soul,” Espino said.

The Pangasinan flag at the PPH was put at half-mast to give respect to Dr. Soriano who, according to health workers, had been their mentor and inspiration for many years.

Dr. Soriano’s first medical practice was at the Bolingit Provincial Hospital now PPH where he worked as medical specialist. He tried his luck at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center in Ilocos Sur in 1999 where he became a chief of hospital for four years.
