Sual beauty adjudged as Limgas 2014 Press Darling

LINGAYEN- - -Bubbly, spontaneous and witty. These are qualities that made Jacqueline Macatiag of Sual town as this year’s Limgas na Pangasinan Darling of the Press.

The 22 year-old lass stood out from among the 24 other equally lovely and intelligent candidates vying for the province’s most-coveted crown in the most prestigious beauty tilt.

In the press presentation held March 24 at the Urduja House, the Sual beauty won the verdict of the members of the media with her spontaneous but well-crafted answer in English language spoken with a British accent.

Jackie, as she is fondly called, is taking up Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at Goldsmiths College University of London in the United Kingdom.

“Although I was born in UK, I trace my roots in Bacquioen, Sual. I regularly come home to the Philippines and I love spending vacations in Sual,” she said.

The 25 official candidates of Limgas na Pangasinan 2014 were presented before the public for the first time during the regular flag-raising ceremony at the Capitol Plaza then proceeded to the Capitol building for a courtesy call with Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr.

Provincial Treasurer Marilou Utanes who is the Chairperson of Limgas 2014 said that the candidates were rigidly screened and carefully selected by the screening committee.

Utanes said that the candidates have undergone personality development training as part of their activities to enhance and further develop their personality which is suited for the prestigious title of the fairest Pangasinan maiden.

Pre-pageant will be held on April 25, 8PM at the Capitol Plaza where the 25 candidates will showcase their talent.

Main pageant and coronation night will be conducted on April 30, 7PM also at the Capitol Plaza.
