Lingayen -- The 434th Agew na Pangasinan and Pistay Dayat celebration (2P) which reels off April 5 to May 1 will stretch a “wide-ranging publicity” with GMA Network, Incorporated as strategic partner for the extensive promotion, coverage and telecast of the 2P summer festivities of the province.
This is made possible after Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. has formalized strategic partnership with the network through Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with Jonathan Balingit, GMA TV10 – Central Luzon Station Manager, on March 26 at the Urduja House, here.
“With this partnership, we are assured that the Agew na Pangasinan and Pistay Dayat celebrations will be well-promoted not only in our province and entire country, but also in countries where GMA shows are telecast,” Governor Espino said.
“It is fitting to level up promotions of the 2P summer festivals and GMA TV-10 is the right strategic partner -- being a network that gives “Pangasinan a better shape,” making Pangasinenses from urban centers down to the remotest barangays to become more aware and appreciative of the programs of the provincial government,” the Governor added.
Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr., on the other hand, considers the partnership as “a way to strengthen information dissemination of the featured activities of Pangasinan Day and Pistay Dayat.” He added that the celebrations are Pangasinan’s gesture of gratitude for all the blessings the province has received all throughout the year.
“The Kapuso Network is honored and proud to be strategic partner of the provincial government” Station Manager Balingit said even as he added that “GMA-10 joins Pangasinan in making a history and bringing Pangasinan at its best.”
The following celebrations, according to Balingit, will be graced by Kapuso stars: Agew na Pangasinan float parade on April 5, opening ceremony of Pistay Dayat on April 11, Limgas na Pangasinan coronation night on May 1, Banca Parada on May 1 and the Kapuso Night in the evening of May 1.
The network will promote the 2P merriment nationwide via regional stations in Dagupan, Bicol, Ilocos, Cebu, IloIlo, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and General Santos; and worldwide airing via Pinoy TV (GMA International) in Japan, Papua New Guinea, Middle East, Europe, North Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and USA.
Regional stations will also publicize 2P exposures in news programs 24 Oras, Balitanghali and Balita Pilipinas, Arrian Zulueta, Sales and Marketing Representative of GMA Central Luzon said.
The MOA signing was also attended by department and office heads led by Provincial Administrator Rafael Howard Baraan; Provincial Budget Officer Hilaria Claveria, Pistay Dayat Chairperson; and Provincial Tourism Officer Malu Elduayan, Agew na Pangasinan Chairperson.
