LINGAYEN --- Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. is set to deliver his inaugural address for his third term as Governor of the province of Pangasinan on June 28 at the Sison Auditorium here.

Coming fresh from a three-week vacation in the United States, Gov. Espino will be joined by Vice Gov. Jose Ferdinand Calimlim, Jr and the members of the 8th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Pangasinan on the oathtaking ceremony that will be witnessed by members, political leaders, heads of local government units, provincial officials, heads of different agencies, private sectors, NGOs and the provincial government employees.


Over the course of his governorship in the past six years, Gov. Espino’s last inaugural address will be the most awaited event ever in the political history of Pangasinan as his sterling performance had been translated into an overwhelming votes in the last May midterm elections.

Espino won by 554,351 votes against his opponent Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza. In 2010 elections, Former Gov. Victor Agbayani also lost to Espino with 535,000 votes.

Also taking their oath are re-elected Board Members Napoleon Fontelera (first district), Raul Sison (second district), Generoso Tulagan, Jr. (third district), Mojamito Libunao and Ranjit Ramos Shahani and Senior Board Member Alfonso Bince, Jr. of the sixth district.

Working with him in his last term are the comebacking Board Members Rene Sison, and Nestor “Nicky Boy” Reyes of the first and second district respectively and Riby Villegas of the fourth district along with the neophyte Board Member Angel Baniqued, Jr. son of outgoing Majority Floor Leader BM Angel Baniqued, Sr of the third district .
